Last Friday while EJ was on fall break we took Ensley on her first field trip to learn about history and fine arts. Cheekwood Botanical Gardens is having an exhibit of blown glass made by Dale Chihuly that runs through the end of this month. I would recommend it to everyone in the middle Tennessee area.

We enjoyed the gorgeous day outside strolling Ensley around the grounds looking at the glass art. She started getting fussy about an hour into it so I put her in my new
Moby Wrap and she was out within five minutes.
(Sidenote: we have tried other carriers and she screamed bloody murder when we put her in them. The Moby Wrap keeps her close to me and will allow for multiple positions as she grows while keeping me hands free. I would recommend it to all moms.) Inside the historic mansion was quite a collection of art and some more fabulous Chihuly pieces. We had a great time and are considering taking a day trip to the Biltmore this Sunday for another history & fine arts lesson and to give her an appreciation for antiques, not to mention we will enjoy the drive with the fall colors at their peak.
