Dumb Questions
This one we get almost daily...
Us: That will be $24.36.
Them: Is that not on your $4 list?
Us: Nope
Then we explain to them that all generics are not $4, only about 350 of them.
Anyway we find out in about 40 hours if we are having a boy or girl...soooo excited!!

I just kept telling myself 'Thank You God for selling our house and giving us a place to stay.'
This is where the adventure begins... Our box springs would not fit up the stairs no matter how they tried to twist or turn it. We thought about getting one of our beds out of storage but I decided I would rather roll off the mattress on the floor every morning than try to sleep on a full bed while being pregnant. Last night was our first night sleeping on the floor and it was in my top five worst nights of sleep ever! We forgot our pillows and my body pillow at the house but we were too tired to drive back over and get it so I figured one night wouldn't make a difference...hahaha. The evening started with Duke trying to get on the bed...we kicked him out of the bed a couple of times and the honorary little toot peed on the floor out of spite. So we put him in the bathroom for the night which made him nervous so he paced around all night running into the door stoppers, so we heard BOIOIOING, BO-OI-OING all night. Then Kala tried to cuddle all night. She was sleeping on the floor right next to my side of the mattress and would lay her paw on me all night. So I was up at 6 this morning with an achy lower back (thanks to not having a pillow under my side...thanks Melody) and decided to go back over to the house and get the shower curtain that we accidentally left over there while EJ was sleeping. First I took the dogs out and I forgot to take Kala's diaper off (she is in heat) and so she peed in the only diaper we had brought to the town house. The morning was not off to a good start and I just kept telling myself 'Thank You God for selling the house and providing us with a place to stay'. I got back from the house with a fresh diaper and the shower curtain, then set up the shower curtain and I turned the water on and then tried to pull the stopper to make the shower head run...but nope! It was stuck! So I decided it was time to wake EJ up and see if he could fix it....but nope! So after I had a small little emotional breakdown from exhaustion and frustration we packed up all the shower stuff and our church clothes and went back to the house to get ready! Thank You God for selling the house and that we have possession until Wednesday and that we didn't cut the water off until Monday!
We now have just one load of little stuff left that I will get tomorrow and then I will clean the house a little bit and turn over the keys to our first home...tear, tear.
Saturday night EJ was in a 'Dude Looks Like A Lady' contest, but that requires it's own post including a video of the talent portion that I will post as soon as our internet gets hooked up at the town house.

Closing
We get the apartment Saturday and will be moving over the weekend. The weather is supposed to be nice on Saturday so hopefully we can get all of the big stuff moved over. The puppies are coming with us and we are so excited!
We walked through our new house last night. All of the showers and tubs are in place. We can see where all of the light switches, outlets, lighting fixtures, and speakers will be placed. They have started bricking the back of the house too! Everything is coming along nicely and we can't wait to move in!!

Week 18

Way to go Helen!
She apparently had a connection with someone at an apartment complex that is one of the nicest in town. I had called them earlier and they told me they only did 6-12 month leases. I told them our story but it didn't matter. Our realtor called today and said she had a deal set up for us for 3 months in a two bedroom, one and a half bath apartment...and it's cheaper than the studio hotel room...and we are 99% sure they will let our little children come stay with us!!!
God is good all the time! Thank you for your prayers!

House of Prayer
So we are contemplating where to go from here. No apartment or house will sign a lease less than 6 months and most don't allow children (well, I mean our children). Our house will be finished (weather permitting) the first of June so we really only need a place for 2 months. We feel so blessed to sell our house and we are trusting God in this situation. Please pray for us as we look for a place to lay our head.

Really people?!
Phone call last night:
Me: Thank you for calling...how may I help you?
Patient: Do you have any Xdrug?
Me: What strength?
Patient: I don't know.
Me: Well then I can't tell you if we have it.
Patient: Hang on. (Yells to her dad...what strength?...because they need to know...the people....the people at the pharmacy....to see if they have it) 5mg
Me: How many do you need?
Patient: 90
Me: Sorry, we don't. We filled another prescription earlier today for 90 and we only have 10 left and we won't have anymore until Friday.
Patient: Well is the prescription you filed earlier for Jane Smith because I dropped one off first thing this morning.
Me: Yes. Your prescription is ready.
(Ok normally the appropriate first question is 'do you have a prescription for Jane Smith ready?') Goodness people! Oh but wait, I'm not done with lil Miss Smith.
Today:
Patient at the pick up window: I need to pick up a prescription.
Tech: What is the last name and date of birth?
Patient: Smith, 12/1/1991
Technician: What is the first name?
Patient: Either Nathan, John, or Victoria
Tech: Who?
Patient: Nathan, John, or Victoria
Tech: That's not what I have in the system.
Patient: Well, is it under Jane?
Tech: yes....
Scariest part...this chick is 17 years old!!! She is entering the real world in a matter of months! Look out...they are walking among you!
On a different note, we walked through the new house for the first time Saturday when my parents were in town. It was lots of fun...the studs are up so you can distinguish rooms and the general layout. The roof is probably finished by now...it was almost done this morning when I drove by. EJ drove by this afternoon and the exterior doors and windows were installed. They are putting in bathtubs tomorrow, HVAC Thursday and Friday, and electrical Monday. I think they will be bricking this week too. And we have a hopeful looker at our current house that wants to close by the end of the month...bring it on!

randomness
We are going to the mountains for a few days while E is on break and I am so excited. Usually when we "vacation" we have so many things on our itinerary that when we get home we are exhausted. This week we have nothing on the agenda but sleeping in (cause the dogs won't be roaming around the room and trying to jump on the bed when the sun comes up), relaxing, and eating at some good restaurants. Maybe I'm crazy but there is something sweet about vacationing with my honey while I'm pregnant. We are both so excited to get away and chill together.
Randomness continues with conversations from work:
Friday was a weird day at work! I got there about a quarter til opening and none of the computers worked. I called field support and they were all working a couple minutes after opening. Then about twenty minutes later the power in the whole shopping center went out thanks to the electric company. We were without power 20-30 minutes with a line of people waiting at each window because without the computer or registers we are completely crippled. They were all very understanding and none of them were grumbling, which was unusual but very refreshing. We were steady all day until about 5:30 when apparently the bus rolled into town and let out all the people with insurance issues and narcotics that were too soon. We didn't end up leaving until 30 minutes after closing due to a sweet couple who brought in six rx's they wanted transferred at about 8:45. (I am not complaining because this means we have new patients and our business is growing...I am simply telling you of my crazy day Friday and I don't blame you for not reading this far because I really am rambling) so back to the conversations:
Conversation #1
ME: These four medications are used in combination to get rid of the bacteria in your stomach that is causing ulcers. It is important to take all of them...blah blah blah.
MAN: how important is it that I take this one because it is a little expensive.
ME: this one is going to heal the existing ulcer and help with symptoms as well.
MAN: Nah, I don't want it. I'll just smoke some extra pot for symptom relief.
ME: well sir I don't recommend that
MAN: that's okay
ME: ok so the next medication cannot be taken with any alcohol.
MAN: how important is it that I don't drink alcohol with it?
ME: very important. Alcohol of any amount will cause a violent vomiting reaction.
MAN: I think I'll take my chances. I'm getting old and I don't want all the fun taken out of life.
My innocent little naïve self is so absolutely shocked by the openness of some of these people. I just can't get over it! My heart breaks for this man.
Conversation #2
ME: Maam, this insurance card is for medical. Do you have another card for pharmacy?
WOMAN: what do you mean?! I have pharmacy coverage and that is the only card I have.
ME: ok, let me give them a call and see what I can find out. After a 15 minute phone call going round and round with an automated woman...I say Maam, I have found out who your coverage is through but without an ID number I can't get any further to talk to someone. Are you sure you don't have another card?
WOMAN: yes I'm sure. I lost my pharmacy card and I know that is only my medical card but it's the only card I have! I guess I'll have to take it back to (competitor) since they have my information on file.
ME (thinking: oh no you don't not after I have been dealing with this for half an hour!):well I can call them and get your info.
WOMAN: if you don't mind.
UGH! Do these people really have so much spare time that they can stand around watching me run in circles while they withhold important information!?
On a brighter note, yesterday we didn't have a single crazy question and I even got to see a few of our really sweet regulars. Anyway, I'm done rambling now...not that I believe anybody is still reading this though.
