Back to Work

Ellie was so excited about her first day of school she woke up at 3am ready to go. I was up with her still at about 430am when Ensley started crying. I woke EJ up to help with one of the girls. Ensley was complaining of her jaw hurting so I checked her ear for drainage and checked her temperature. Both were normal so I just gave her some medicine for the pain and she began to calm down but wouldn't go back to sleep and wouldn't let Mommy doze off either..."Wake up Mommy!"
So I took the girls in and started sobbing when trying to tell her teacher how much easier the day would be for me knowing she was in good hands. Then there was a wreck on the interstate so I took the long way to work and cried the whole way I pulled myself together in the parking lot and didn't cry again until my lunch break. EJ got a call about 330p on his way to pick the girls up saying Ensley had a fever and drainage in her ear. We started drops that night and she was fine the next day but Ellie started running a fever. EJ took her to the pediatrician and they said it was just a cold. By Friday she looked so much worse with red draining puffy eyes that I took her back Saturday morning and of course Saturday morning was her first fever free morning. They said it was still just a cold. She still has the drainage in her eyes Monday so she didn't go back to school until Tuesday. And it has been three weeks and both girls are feeling fine now :) We are so blessed to have our girls with sweet ladies who love on them while we are at work.
