Football season came to an end Friday night. The Purple Tigers lost in the first round of playoffs. While I am sad they didn't go a little further in their season, I am glad to have my husband back. They start conditioning for baseball on the 16th so we have a few treasured weeks together before he starts coming home late again.
We made the most of our first Sunday afternoon together in a few months and took the puppies on a hike. Our town is not very dog friendly. We have this great trail that leads to a really nice park but dogs are not allowed on either...hmpf! So when we want a change of scenery from our neighborhood on our walks we have to drive a good little distance or find another nearby neighborhood. Anyway, we took the puppies to Long Hunter State Park just outside MJ. There was a mile long loop in the woods with a little detour to a quiet beach on Percy Priest. It was so peaceful and the puppies loved the change of scenery.
