Good Ole Rocky Top

Ensley experienced her first SEC match up today. The Volunteers played the Gators at Neyland Stadium. Unfortunately Ensley is too young to go to the game so we watched it on TV and I taught her Rocky Top. We didn't get a win but she looked so cute that it didn't matter. Her little outfit is complete with socks with a power T...sooo cute!

First Trip to the Mall

Last week I found some more shirts that I had put away so I didn't have to buy one for the reunion so Ensley's first trip to the mall was yesterday. My watch battery stopped over a month ago and you have to get battery changed at a particular store or it voids the warranty so we ran in, changed the battery and ran out. I had her carrier canopy covering her so nobody could touch her. She did good. She was awake and just looked around the whole time. She started fussing when we were leaving but I promised her we would go back soon ;)

Metting More of the Moss Family

On our way home Sunday we stopped by my Papaw's then went over to my aunt's house so Ensley could meet all of them.

Ensley meeting her great Aunt Tonya

She is checking out Uncle Hal

She thinks her cousin Matthew is funny. This is the first picture we have of her with a big grin on her face.
And Ensley slept the whole way home!! Let's hope she continues to like riding.

First Time Away

Last night was my first time away from Ensley. EJ and I went to his 10 year class reunion for a couple of hours and we left Ensley with her JoJo and Pop. We rushed in to drop her off and left in such a hurry that I didn't have time to think about it until we were gone which was probably good because I might have sent him by himself if I'd thought about it.

We had a good time catching up with people (in person)...facebook is nice but doesn't compare to face to face. And Miss Ensley slept soundly the whole time we were gone with the exception of a little dirty diaper that upset her.

I missed my little girl and can't imagine the heartbreak I will feel when I have to leave her for 12 hours when I start back to work.

Big Girl

Ensley's umbilical cord fell off last night...just in time. We ran out of newborn diapers yesterday but have a ton of size 1 diapers. The 1's are just a tad bit big and so they rubbed her umbilical cord a little but now we don't have to worry about that. Get ready for pictures from her first real tub bath tonight.

She has been holding her head up for about a week now. When carrying her upright she likes to look around and will hold her head up for short intervals about 10-15 seconds at a time.

We went for another stroller ride yesterday and she liked it better this time. Last time she fussed most of the stroll, but yesterday she only fussed to the end of our street then she fell asleep. The weather has been beautiful the past week and is supposed to continue so we will be going for lots of walks...Welcome Fall!

She also slept in her crib (in our room) all through the night last night. I had to wake her up every 3-4 hours to feed her. She has been sleeping through the night with me waking her up to feed since we brought her home but she has been sleeping in our arms in the rocker. The first couple of nights she slept in the crib but then we had so much company that she was constantly being held and it spoiled her so that she wouldn't sleep for more than 30-45 minutes without being held, but last night she 'slept like a baby' in her crib. YAY! Hopefully that will continue so mommy and daddy can get some good bed rest.

And I think today she is going shopping for the first time with mommy. It isn't time for her to be in large crowds yet so I am going to the outlet mall here because there aren't usually very many people on a weekday. EJ's 10 year high school reunion is this weekend and I don't have a dressy shirt that fits so I'm going to see what I can find today, but I can fit in my pre-pregnancy pants...woohoo!

Ensley's Second Photo Shoot

EJ's sister came over Monday afternoon and took some pictures of Ensley. Her pictures are always soooo good and then when you put a beautiful little girl in them they are just perfect.

Labor Day Weekend

We spent Ensley's first Labor Day weekend with family. My oldest brother had not met Ensley yet so he and his family came down from Indiana Thursday night for the weekend. My nieces were so sweet with Ensley, especially the youngest one who is 4. She wanted to help with Ensley anyway she could, it was really sweet. Ensley had her first stroller ride Sunday. My nieces went to the pool so we strolled Ensley up there, but she didn't go swimming even though I have an adorable swimsuit that I can't wait for her to wear.

We also had some precious friends come by on their way home to Missouri from Knoxville Monday morning.

Then EJ's sister and her family came by Monday afternoon to say hello and goodbye to Ensley. They are moving to Hawaii for a minimum of five months on the 15th with my b-i-l's job.

Our house has been a revolving door the past two weeks and EJ's mom will be here tomorrow for a couple of days. We won't know what to do once everyone leaves for a while.
