Ensley's umbilical cord fell off last night...just in time. We ran out of newborn diapers yesterday but have a ton of size 1 diapers. The 1's are just a tad bit big and so they rubbed her umbilical cord a little but now we don't have to worry about that. Get ready for pictures from her first real tub bath tonight.
She has been holding her head up for about a week now. When carrying her upright she likes to look around and will hold her head up for short intervals about 10-15 seconds at a time.
We went for another stroller ride yesterday and she liked it better this time. Last time she fussed most of the stroll, but yesterday she only fussed to the end of our street then she fell asleep. The weather has been beautiful the past week and is supposed to continue so we will be going for lots of walks...Welcome Fall!
She also slept in her crib (in our room) all through the night last night. I had to wake her up every 3-4 hours to feed her. She has been sleeping through the night with me waking her up to feed since we brought her home but she has been sleeping in our arms in the rocker. The first couple of nights she slept in the crib but then we had so much company that she was constantly being held and it spoiled her so that she wouldn't sleep for more than 30-45 minutes without being held, but last night she 'slept like a baby' in her crib. YAY! Hopefully that will continue so mommy and daddy can get some good bed rest.
And I think today she is going shopping for the first time with mommy. It isn't time for her to be in large crowds yet so I am going to the outlet mall here because there aren't usually very many people on a weekday. EJ's 10 year high school reunion is this weekend and I don't have a dressy shirt that fits so I'm going to see what I can find today, but I can fit in my pre-pregnancy pants...woohoo!
